I put my older dofg on this when the arthritis in his back got hard for him. He responded better to this then on deramaxx.

Comfort

posted 5 years ago

I use this for my dog who has early hip displycia. She is often in pain, and moans and groans. This has been very helpful, and given her a great deal of releif. Dogs can't tell us with words when they are in pain, and often wont even show it because they want us to be happy with them. This is a very convenient way of giving some pain relief to my dog without the trauma of a bad tasting medicine, and I can take it with us anywhere without needing to have anything extra to hide it in. It is easy on her stomach too, and works very well for us.

Pros: very easy to give, chewable, tasty

Cons: unfortuanate to have to give any pain medication

Not what I was looking for

posted 6 years ago

I was actually looking for regular asprin which my vet's office says is okay for dogs-they usually suggest the coated kind- but this would be better at least if the dog needed it on a regular basis. I had never heard of this. Regular people asprin can be used with dogs but you have to check with the vet on the dose first.

Pros: Flavored for dogs

Cons: none

Aspirin is great for dogs

posted 5 years ago

I actually used St Josephs (81mg) for a while but started using Vetrin. My dog Rox experiences stiffness but you see the difference when she takes this. 81 mg aspirin saved my mom's dog which had a minor heart problem. His aspirin regimen lasted all 17 years of his life.

Pros: It works

Cons: none noted for my pooches but heard that it could upset their bellies
