Warm Comfort
posted 5 years ago
Put the Petstages Warming Soother in the microwave for 30 seconds and you have a cozy pillow for a sad puppy or a comforting wrap for a aching dog. The buckwheat packages inside the colorful cover stay warm longer than you would think. The outside cover is washable.
Petstages' products are well-made and appealing. However, the directions for using the soother are printed in teeny letters on its small tag (in addition to the cardboard to which the soother was attached); I wrote "30 sec" on the cover itself with a permanent marker to conveniently remind myself how long to microwave.
Pros: Well-designed; for dogs of all ages
Cons: None

Soothing for pups of all ages
posted 5 years ago
I have a couple of pups that tend to torque their backs once or twice a year. Instead of having to run off to the vets I keep the Rimadyl in stock and heat up the puppy warming pad. This is a great little heating pad you toss in the microwave and heat it up. Soft and I like the length of it because it stays put when I lay it over her sore back. I also used it to keep some foster puppies warm last year. They were about 8 weeks old and would lay on the slightly heated pad and sleep. This is not something I would leave with your pup unattended. It’s also very colorful and made too look like something for a puppy but it works with any age dog, or person!
Pros: Style, shape
Cons: None

Big Dog No, Kittens Yes
posted 5 years ago
I bought this for my 15-year old dog Toby for his achy joints. He really didn't seem to care one way or the other about having it around. It's too small to be really effective for a med-large dog.
However, this is a wonderful product for kittens. We use this with young orphan kittens who need extra warmth & comfort and they seem to love it.
Any cat would love the warmth provided by this product.
Pros: Ease of use
Cons: Too small for a medium-large dog
