My In-laws have Akitas that have trouble getting in and out of the SUV. The Akitas are around 120 to 150 lbs and are old, arthritic and have hip-joint problems---so they love to use this ramp! It is better than trying to lift these big guys into your vehicle.

Pros: Helps dogs out a great deal

Cons: Can get pricey; takes up some room in your SUV

I'm sure this works for some people but my old girl clearly doesn't like the feel of this ramp. I've now left it on the floor by where she sleeps but she avoids it. Too bad as it's a nice weight and she really needs it.

Pros: light, durable

Cons: dog doesn't like surface

Gives you lots of mobility with large dogs or dogs with physical problems that make getting into and out of vehicles a challenge.

Pros: steady with the weight of a large dog on it

Cons: need to teach the dog to use it
