I'm sure this works for some people but my old girl clearly doesn't like the feel of this ramp. I've now left it on the floor by where she sleeps but she avoids it. Too bad as it's a nice weight and she really needs it.
Pros: light, durable
Cons: dog doesn't like surface

Very helpful for arthritic and/or older dogs

My In-laws have Akitas that have trouble getting in and out of the SUV. The Akitas are around 120 to 150 lbs and are old, arthritic and have hip-joint problems---so they love to use this ramp! It is better than trying to lift these big guys into your vehicle.
Pros: Helps dogs out a great deal
Cons: Can get pricey; takes up some room in your SUV
