Tomlyn Oatmeal and Aloe Vera Shampoo effectively treats nicks and scratches on your dog's scalp.
November 30, 2010 2:20 pm | By Zootoo Editor Flinn D.
Oatmeal and Aloe Vera Soothing Dog Shampoo by Tomlyn is a simple and effective way to cleanse those cuts and scrapes on your dog that come from normal wear and tear on a hike or playing at the park. If you’ve ever used Aloe Vera or Oatmeal solutions on your own cuts and scrapes you know how soothing they can be…so why not use them for your pet?
I don’t know about you, but when I get back from a long walk with my pooch, I often notice that he is addressing some sort of irritation on his body — whether it be by licking one of his paws because he stepped on something or gnawing at a bug bite. With Tomlyn’s Oatmeal and Aloe Vera Soothing Shampoo, the solution is just minutes away, and it doesn’t involve applying any kind of medication.
To use, fill up the bath to about the bottom of your pet’s belly and then lather him up with the soapy concoction – which our tester dog doesn’t mind as much as other shampoos. Let the lather stand for about five minutes before rinsing. I’ve found this to be an effective way to treat nicks and scratches incurred from a healthy and lively outdoor lifestyle. As a bonus, the shampoo is a pleasant deodorizer for when your dog has also picked up nasty smells in the great outdoors. The scent of the oatmeal and aloe vera is as easy on the nose as it is on the scalp.
Pros: Pleasant smell; effective at soothing normal nicks and scratches.
Cons: None.

Another good one

This is another good oatmeal shampoo that is really effective. It has a light clean scent and leaves the coat looking very shiny as well. I would recommend for dry, itchy skin. I like to use different shampoos for my dogs like I like to use different ones for myself.
Also good to use on dogs that have had flea bites, etc. Luckily I have not had to use it for that reason. Oatmeal products highly recommended by vets.
Pros: another good one
Cons: none
