Our one dog, Hrothgar, has cancer and has been taking chemo treatments. Long story short, the steriods in the treat caused him a major skin problem. Now he skin in some areas feels like hard crunchy leather. And he acts like he is itchy.

We got Petgold Hydrocortisone Shampoo with Aloe Vera. The reason we got it to try was because of the store manager at PetSmart worked with me and explained what was what. This shampoo relieves itching from skin irriations or insect bites. It is also non stinging.

The worse part of using this shampoo is the 5-10 minutes you need to leave it on for max effectiveness. No dog wants a bath for 10 minutes. But Hrothgar has gotten better as he will just lay down and wait. So the shampoo must be working.

We really do like this shampoo for Hrothgar to help with his itchiness.

Pros: works great, affordable, easy to purchase

Cons: none
