Oxy Med Medicated Rinse - - Concentrate

I recently adopted two dachshund mixes from the local pound. After bringing them home, I bathed them immediately to rid them of the flea infestation, and dried them with a towel. (I've always used baby shampoo on my dogs and have always had good results.)

I noticed a smell shortly after they came home. This is a rancid, stomach turning odor, but was only occurring when the dogs got "heated". They would go outside to lay around, play, or potty, and when coming back in the odor would smack your nostrils hard! Once the dogs cooled, the smell was less noticeable (still there somewhat).

I searched the pet store to find something with Salicylic acid, and found this product.

The ingredients are much more natural than that of other products. The rinse seems to work well when combined with the shampoo. The bottle says "Environmentally Safe" , "Cruelty Free", and Made in the USA. Sounds good to me.

My dogs are now able to be "lap dogs". Before, the smell was too offensive. I believe that the change to a good dog food and no fleas also helped with the seborrhea (dandruff).

Pros: Consistency is thick; doesn't drip everywhere.

Cons: Doesn't smell as nice as the Shampoo.
