I have used this shampoo many times on my animals to get rid of those pesky fleas and ticks. It works and it leaves their coats pretty and shiny. The dogs of course have to stay still while you work it into their coats for about 10 minutes and this is sometimes a problem because especially our outside dogs do not always take to baths a lot. Sometimes we end up getting a bath as much as the pups do! Oh well, they get rid of the fleas and ticks and you have a good smelling dog to boot!

After a camping trip my dogs were covered in tics (I found at least 25 on one dog and about 10 on the other). I was worried about the consequences so we bought this shampoo on the way home and gave the dogs a bath with it. We never found another living tic on them and we found lots of dead ones.
I wouldn't recommend it for normal bathing though because it was very irritating to their skin (they are sensitive).

Hartz Incontrol Flea and Tick Shampoo for Dogs is always a welcome gift for the shelter because it does a great job of controlling fleas without the high cost of the topical flea medicine which in unafordable for the shelter.

You can depend on this. It does what it says and keeps your pet looking shiny and feeling soft. It does have a bit of a funny odor but most flea and tick shampoos do. I recommend this product.
