All Natural Anti-itch Shampoo With Tea Tree Oil

(4.8 out of 5, based on 5 reviews)

It is painful to watch your 4 legged child itch themselves raw. The Critter Comfort "Ant-Itch" Shampoo was formulated to STOP THE ITCH naturally and promote healing while leaving the coat silky smooth. Use it on dogs, puppies, cats, kittens and any pet with dry, sensitive skin, allergies, bug bites or hot spots. The 8 ounce concentrate makes 64 ounces. Ingredients: Tea Tree Oil: Native to Australia, Tea Tree leaves have strong antiseptic qualities. Tea Tee oil has a penetrating quality that makes it helpful in treating infected wounds, and it is most effective as an antiseptic against bacteria and fungi. Tea tree oil became the standard for treating wound infections in Australia prior to antibiotics becoming widely available. Shea Butter: Extracted from the Shea nut found in Africa, Shea butter has soothing, moisturizing and protecting effect. It displays a protecting role against UV rays because of its content in cinnamic acid. The natural latex contained in shea butter could support prevention of certain sun allergies. Shea butter also helps cell regeneration and capillary circulation, which supports healing of small wounds, skin, cracks, crevices and skin ulcers. Sunflower Oil: Healthy, natural sunflower oil is produced from oil type sunflower seeds. Sunflower oil is light in taste and appearance and supplies more Vitamin E than any other vegetable oil. Allantoin: is a botanical extract of the comfrey plant and is used for its healing, soothing and anti-irritation properties. Allantoin helps to heal wounds and skin irritations and stimulate growth of healthy tissue. Panthenol: This plant derived ingredient is added to skin care preparations where improved absorption of various nutrients is desirable. Also known as vitamin B5, Panthenol acts as a penetrating moisturizer. Because panthenol binds well to hair follicles and attracts moisture from the air, it is known for its revitalizing and conditioning effects in the hair and skin. It lubricates the hair without feeling greasy, making them shiny and easier to comb. D-Limonene: Occurring in nature as the main component of the citrus peel oil, D-Limonene is a safe, highly effective and biodegradable cleansing agent.

Great gift

posted 6 years ago

A friend of mine gave me this shampoo to try on my collie that had dry/itchy skin. I don't know if it is the tea tree oil or what, but it really did help with the itching and made his coat look amazing and glossy. I liked the product, but was not able to find more in the pet store - so you may have to order it on line or something. I would recommend it for a dog that has any itching - it does seem to provide relief.

Pros: actually worked and makes dog coat look great too

Cons: couldn't find it in our local pet store
