Firstrax's Poop Patrol makes clean-up a breeze.

August 22, 2010 11:04 pm | By Zootoo Editor Flinn D.

What pet owner hasn’t been out walking their four-legged friend and realized they left their plastic bags at home? Maybe the realization came in time to run back to the house and get them, or maybe it was too late and Fido had already left a gift to your neighbor on the lawn.

Either way, thanks to N2N, there’s a cute, practical solution to this universal problem – the Poop Patrol Pet Waste Bag Dispenser.

Poop Patrol is made of durable, lightweight plastic, and features a small, circular hole out of which you pull the Firstrax standard size, black bags for picking up your pet’s business. The Firstrax bags come in rolls of 30 that fit easily into the dispenser and are made to fit other leading brands’ dispensers as well, such as Bags on Board, Outward Hound and Pet Zone.

On my first walk with Poop Patrol I found the most convenient feature to be the way it cleverly clips on to your dog’s leash. If you’re anything like me, the most challenging part of being a responsible poop-picker-upper is remembering the bags in the first place.

Thankfully, Poop Patrol removes this step from the process. Each new canister contains thirty bags, when one canister runs out, simply unscrew the easy-to-use dispenser and fit a new canister inside. It takes about 45 seconds.

Pros: Easy to use; leash clip ensures you won't forget when leaving the house.

Cons: None.

Love it

This is a wonderful product. It is easy to put on your leash so you always have bags, the bags are biodegradable and super easy to get out. The only problem we had was if the container gets hit around a lot (letting go of leash and dog running w/it still attached) it will break.

Pros: easy, convenient

Cons: none

Great product!

I think this is the best thing ever to hit our outdoor moments in the grass! Not only is is convenient, comfortable, and easy to use, but the bags are biodegradable! I've never been a fan of irresponsible pet owners (I've stepped in way too much poo), and this device makes it nearly impossible to come up with an excuse for not picking up after your friend. (The only somewhat good excuse I could still think of is that you forgot to restock your cylinder with more bags.) Since it's always on the leash, you always have it with you...you never forget to take it with. Great idea, great product. Thanks, N2N!

Pros: Secures easily to my retractable leash handle.

Cons: Sometimes you have to fish around for bags, but it's not that hard.
