This product has helped tremendously with our dogs to keep them free from ticks, along with the use of Frontline Plus. We have needed both since we live in an area surrounded by woods, and especially with one of our dogs that has a long coat where ticks can easily go unnoticed. We take the cautions seriously, and make sure to wash hands after contact with the collar. We have cats in the home, and with the caution we use, have not had any problems.
