Tick Collar For Dogs

Rating:

Rating: 2.5

Average rating from 6 reviews.

(2.5 out of 5, based on 6 reviews)

The most effective tick collar available begins killing ticks immediately when placed around your dog's neck, including the ticks that carry lyme disease. Kills fleas, too! Provides continuous action even when wet. Protects for five months. Do not allow children to play with this collar. Read entire label before each use. Use only on dogs. Directions for UseIt is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Buckle collar around dog's neck. Fit collar snug enough to prevent placement of the dog's leg or lower jaw through the collar, yet loose enough to be rotated about the neck. Generally, if used on large dogs, two or three fingers should fit between the collar and dog's neck. Leave two to three extra inches on the collar for adjustment. Cut off excess length and dispose of in trash. Check periodically and adjust fit if necessary, especially when puppies are rapidly growing. May be used in addition to regular collar. Replace collar when effectiveness diminishes. Storage and Disposal: Store in original unopened container away from children. Do not reuse container or used collar. Wrap and put in trash. What to ExpectFor Ticks: Full protection against adult and immature ticks will be achieved within a few days, providing continuous protection for up to five months. Adult ticks will be killed over the entire pet. Dead ticks will fall off or may be easily removed. Replace collar every five months for continuous protection from ticks. I

Not worth the money

posted 6 years ago

Don't waste your money on flea and tick collars. They don't protect your animal. Spend a little extra and get a topical product that has good reviews.

Pros: none

Cons: doesnt work

Effective

posted 7 years ago

I used this for years on my old dog. He was a fairly outdoor oriented dog and enjoyed running through the woods and fields chasing deer or somthing. So as a result, ticks were an issue.
Even though he did still have a tick or two now and again, I would hardly blame the collar, as with the amount of time he spend in tick infested areas, he was bound to get a few.
Overall I found this very effective.

Pros: non-offensive and relativly comfortable

Cons: still got a few ticks

I have 3 cats and they love this food. They eat less and walk away with a full belly. Eating less means pooping less and less litter. All around a great choice for my cats.
