This is a great product to have on hand, and I've got a bottle sitting on my shelf. I've been fortunate enough to not have any accidents where I've needed to use it, but bought it because I watched it work when my dog's nails were accidentally injured during a clipping at the vet's.

Greta's nails are black and thick. Although we are careful, they sometimes bleed when we cut them. I like this product because a can put a little of the powder in a shallow bowl and just stick her foot in it to get the bleeding to stop. This is around $5 for a 1/2 oz. bottle which has lasted us for over a year. A friend who takes his dogs in the woods called and asked what was good to stop bleeding if his dogs got scratched, so the last time I ordered this I got several to give to friends. This is a great product that works well.

This is really important to have on hand for slip ups while trimming nails. It works really well too. I once had a rabbit's foot gushing blood until the powder was applied which stopped it in under a minute.
