I've had the same trimmer for a few years now, and it's fantastic for our large breed dogs and for our much smaller cats. Sometimes it splits the nails on my Irish Wolfhound instead of clipping them off cleanly, but overall its great. We trim nails every 2 weeks or so to keep them under control. Easy for me to use, I have pretty small hands and it doesn't require a ton of strength to use them on large nails which for me is very nice.
