these clippers had a good concept, but were not fitted with a proper/sharp blade. this clipper either splits or folds over my buns nails....which makes clipping an unpleasant experience. we have found another basic brand (actually for cats) that work much better

I have tried some fancier more expensive nail trimmers, but the basic ones seem to work best.

Cons: be careful, like all trimmers, that you don't cut the quick

It's OK to use on my medium size dog but I do not use on my small dogs.

these are good trimmers but I have no luck cutting toenails.
