These nail clippers are affordable and easy to use. I prefer to do my dog's nails (they get nervous with other people). It took me a few times to get confident with doing it- you need to know the specifics with a dog's nail- ie where the vein is and how far to cut if the nail is black. I have only nicked my dogs a few times. Horrible, but it happens. With frequency, my dogs have settled down and allow me to do their nails.

i was scared to death to cut jackie's nails after i bought this nail trimmer. she i think knew i was worried and she was not having it. i read the directions and was careful not to take too much but after one nail we had to quit because we wer both really nervous. i went to the dog groomer and let them do it. they got all her nails done in 3 minutes and it took me 10 to do one. i donated the trimmer to the place.
