Cats hate to take pills. They hate it. So do some dogs, though cats are more ornery about it I think. Whichever the animal, a good pill shooter is a must have around the house and/or shelter. Helps to get the pill down the back of the throat in one shot so it gets swallowed and not spat back out. And, it saves fingers from getting chomped by a scared and stressed out animal. We could not pill the cats in our home without a pill shooter. It helps so much, especially if there is an animal who has to take meds often. We have several pill shooters, and I also bought one for a friend that has a diabetic dog who must take pills daily. So far it has really helped alot.
