A good med to have on hand for minor eye issues
posted 6 years ago
When animals come into rescue, minor eye issues are always a possibility, particularly for cats. We simply have no idea what they may have been through, or if they have environmental allergies, etc. I try to keep a tube of the Neobacimyx on hand, so I can doctor minor issues before having to rush to the vet.
Neither cats nor dogs like having stuff squirted into their eyes, so getting the Neobacimyx in the right spot may be a challenge. Cats are significantly worse because they wiggle and claw as they get more upset. However, they definitely appreciate the decrease in goopy eye output as the med begins to work!
Neobacimyx is a good all-purpose eye med to keep on hand, and it gets the job done for minor issues.
Pros: Long shelf life, relatively inexpensive
Cons: Prescription med

Eye All Better
posted 6 years ago
My Boston Terrier's eye was leaking clear fluid, swollen and he was keeping it shut. After a day, I took him to my Vet who prescribed this ointment to be administered 2x/day. It was fairly priced for medicine, and the infection cleared up after the 7 days of use. Also, it didn't seem to hurt my dog when it was in his eye. Because it's an ointment coming out of a tube, it was sort of difficult to get in the eye. A nice liquid dropper would've been easier.
Pros: infection cleared up
Cons: application not easy
