I just used this for a dog with kennel cough and it worked great. The dog liked the taste and it really helped her get rid of the cough without side effects. The bottle says it's good for humans too. I haven't tried it yet for cats but I imagine if they don't like the taste it will be hard to give it to them.

Pros: good for humans & dogs & cats

Cons: might be hard to use if the dog/cat doesn't like the taste
