We used ours in the car and for traveling but because of its great insulating material it retains heat which is not so good in the summer months. However, It is comfortable product with just the right amount of padding and super easy to clean.
Pros: Durable and easy to clean
Cons: Gets very hot

This mat would be great for the bigger dog; the one that isn't allowed on the furniture!
