Dehydration can be dangerous

posted 6 years ago

I always keep electrolyte replacement in my house at all times. First with my heat sensitive pup, and then with the real pup and her sibs who fought pneumonia. Sometimes I’ll put this down on really hot summer days just to keep them hydrated. A bottle only lasts about 48 hours after opening so using it up is helpful due to the cost. With the pups, every hour on the hour a few cc’s with a syringe in their mouths and the next morning, drinking on their own and eating. This can get them feeling good enough to get back on their own. Dehydration is a very serious condition and a vet should be consulted immediately. Keep this in your canine first aid kit!

Pros: Replaces needed electrolytes

Cons: Expires typically 48 hours after opening

Great for diarreah.

posted 6 years ago

My vet first recommended using this when I owned a pet store. We noticed that our rabbits would often get sick, loose stool, etc. right after we got them in. The vet said to use straight Pediatric Electrolyte formula instead of water and we never had the problem again. I've since used it on puppies and sick dogs as well.

Pros: Great for diarreah.

Cons: Non found.

Awesome!

posted 5 years ago

This is an excellent source for hydrating sick puppies or adult dogs....I've used this to hydrate puppies at 2 weeks of age and they generally spring back within a few hours. It works much better and faster than plain water does.

Pros: Works fast

Cons: none

I have 3 cats and they love this food. They eat less and walk away with a full belly. Eating less means pooping less and less litter. All around a great choice for my cats.
