Like many products from West Paw Design, the Cloudburst Jacket uses earth-friendly materials. In this case, the fabric of the coat is made from 100% recycled polyester. And the company’s unique “closed loop recycling program” allows owners to send the jacket back for future recycling when dogs have outworn the coat (which, based on the quality of the material, may take quite a long time!).

The Cloudburst Jacket has other nifty touches, such as reflective material on the back of the coat for added safety if your dog’s energy outlasts the sun, or if you find yourself underneath a surprise dark raincloud.

Available in two earth-inspired colors – a mossy green and a sky blue – the attractive jacket comes in a range of sizes, so owners should be able to find an appropriate size within the six that are offered. (And the adjustable straps should ensure a snug fit as well.) And the machine-washable jacket stands up to wear.

The high quality of the Cloudburst Jacket doesn’t come cheap. At a retail price of around $61.60 during some online sales, pet parents may be tempted to let their dogs’ fur stand up to the elements on its own.
