Twin hoofers are an excellent choice for those dogs who can demolish a typical cow hoof in a few strong chomps. They're sturdy, stuffed real beef that will keep a big dog busy for hours.

My dogs no longer get them because they're a bit too sturdy for my two 25 pound and one 35 pound dogs' teeth to withstand, but the lab and bully crowds would probably love these on a regular basis.

When I first gave my dogs Hoofers, they didn't know where to start on chewing out the inner filling, so they licked the top a lot until they realized that it tasted good. Once they figure it out though, it's very difficult to stop the addiction.

Pros: Extremely long lasting, dogs love them

Cons: Can be hard on older dogs' teeth, some dogs don't know how to start at digging out the "filling"

I really like to buy these for my dogs when they need to be kept busy for a while. My guys get really excited when these come out. I only use them on occasion due to the mess they make and to try and limit the GI upset that would probably happen if fed in excess. If you have a gulper you might want to supervise while feeding these because they will break into smaller pieces as the hoof comes apart.

This is a great long lasting chew for the LARGE, young dog cutting teeth. Should not be left with the dog unsupervised due to some small pieces that can break off and become a choking hazard.

My dog loved this bone!!! It took hours to eat and still has soem left over! Just watch for small pieces.
