Worked well on our dog

posted 4 years ago

Our dog has allergies and in addition to some medication, our vet recommended we put this in her itchy, greasy ears. Then every few days we'd gently swab the inside of her ear with some cotton to make sure there was no build-up (she's an expert at getting dirt in her ears). It worked great. She still has a spring 'itch attack' sometimes, but has mostly outgrown the allergy.

Of course no animal likes getting ear drops, so you have to hold onto them and massage the ear for a minute before you let them sprint away and shake their head!

Pros: Worked well

Cons: Dog doesn't like ear drops!

Gentle, non-drying formula with clove scent

posted 4 years ago

I have tried other formulas and solutions and this is pretty nice. It is formulated by a veterinarian. It's a two-part system: the Wash is for cleaning and the Dry is for keeping the ears dry. The Wash contains all natural ingredients: Yucca, aloe Vera, Chamomille, Tea Tree Oil, Clove Oil, and Echinacea. The Clove Oil provides some antimicrobial effect and gives the formula its scent. The Dry formula contains Silica instead of Yucca. It works well, but gently.

Pros: Gentle; fresh clove scent

Cons: Not inexpensive; pets don't seem to like scent

My Kota takes a few to come around and let us do it but then she is good .

Pros: easy to use

This is a great and very gentle ear cleaner for both cats and dogs. Does not seem to cause any irritation. With a basset hound I do a lot of ear cleaning.

Pros: cleans ears gently

Cons: none
