The instructors at CCI (and Jen's vet) recommended Petrodex toothpaste for Jen, and I am so glad they did! Jen loves the taste of it, and it keeps her teeth super clean!! I brush her teeth once a week, and she loves it because she gets to lick off the toothbrush at the end. =)

My dog actuallly seems to like this product and is very cooperative when I do her teeth. I ran out of this toothpaste and bought brand X . Maggie flatly refused to let me get near her mouth although she was use to me doing this. I personally know nothing about the taste of this product but Maggie prefers if. That's enough for me.

This toothpaste is really effective. My dogs love the poultry flavor but they only sit still so long for a toothbrushing and this stuff seems to keep on working after the toothbrushing to reduce the tartar. I think that is the "enzymatic" part of it. It also keeps my dogs from getting bad breath.

Pros: seems to be able to remove tartar past just brushing

I thought I would use this more often. While my dog likes the taste, he squirms and it seems to be more work then it is worth.

Pros: Good way to keep your dogs teeth clean, dog likes the taste

Cons: too much trouble to use very often
