Dental Kong - Large
posted 5 years ago
I know the kongs are supposed to be all the rage, but ....... I regret paying the high price.
I bought the large dental kong to help with my dog's (pit bull/boxer) boredom and give him a fun task for long periods of time. Turns out he has little to no interest in rubber toys of any kind, he wants rawhides or soft toys he can sink his teeth into and work on until they're destroyed. If I fill the kong with small kibble, he knows how to repeatedly up-end it and it's empty in no time. If I fill it with pieces of broken-up biscuits large enough to not fall out as easily, they are too tight inside and he gets bored trying to get them out. You can only fill it with mushy things like peanut butter if he's going to take it outside, so the floors and carpets don't get pb on them.
Pros: Occupies my dog for a small amount of time
Cons: My dog shows little interest, price is high, can be messy for floors depending on filling

The BEST toy for tug-o-war
posted 5 years ago
This was one of my dog's favorite toys. We played tug for an hour at a time with this one, and when he finally stole the toy from me and got bored with tug, he would chew on the red rubber classic kong tough rubber middle. Then he would want to play againa and we would each grab one end of the rope and tug away. Great double fun, chewing and tugging. What dog would want anything more?
Pros: SUPER FUN
Cons: none

Good brand
posted 5 years ago
Kongs have been the only toy my dogs won't destroy immediately, that's the only toys they get and the dental kong helps with tartar buildup nicely.
Pros: long lasting; helps with tartar buildup
Cons: slightly costly

Good Chew Toy
posted 5 years ago
I had this toy for about a day, and my dogs played with it. They managed to pull the strings and tear the kong apart. But they had fun while doing it, and made more of a mess for me. A litle dissapointing for a kong toy.
Pros: Good toy, somewhat durable
Cons: The strings fell off quickly, and the rest of the kong was quickly chewed off

Kong Love
posted 4 years ago
My dogs love this toy, and I love it when their puppy breath is at a minimum, more importantly I love that their teeth stay clean and healthy! An awesome toy for one dog, even better for two!
Pros: dogs can play together and floss their teeth at the same time!
Cons: little pups might swallow too much string, must supervise.
