I hesitated for a long time before I decided to try the Gentle Leader on my husky and shepherd. It looked so much like a muzzle, I almost felt like I was being cruel to my pet. I have tried a harness recently and though it kind of helped, but it was such an ordeal to get them into it, I just quit using it.

My husky is 4 years old and has been a puller since day 1, as is my 2-year old 100 lb. shepherd. I thought it would be amazing if it would work on them.

It started out great. My husky didn't seem to mind me putting the product on her. Then I began to walk and I truly could not believe what I was seeing. From the first minute I put the lead on her, she became a different dog. For the first time in 4 years of walking everyday, my dog walked right by my side, no pulling, no choking. I was able to walk my husky using just 2 fingers lightly touching the leash. There was no pulling on my arm, no bracing myself so that I didn't go flying and no stress. It was incredible, not to mention one of the first extremely enjoyable walks I've had with her.

As I am walking through my neighborhood, I am calling people on the phone asking them to look out the window as I walked by. They were all amazed at the sight as they often commented on "who was walking whom".

This is one of the few products that is actually worth every cent that I put into it. This is an incredible product.

My dog would pull you down the street like a freight train ...until the gentle leader harness. I was a bit skeptical,but it really does work!

I used this for Riley when she was younger and we would go to horse shows. I had better control of her and it would keep her from lunging at the other dogs that she wanted to play with. It is very sturdy and I have now passed it down to 2 other people for them to use on their young dogs. It's still in good shape.

I have to pit bulls and an english bulldog that used to pull A LOT during walks. This harness hooks in the front and stops them from pulling on walks. I love them and they are comfortable for my dogs!

About 5 years ago I was at a convention, when this company was still small, and I met some of the people who own or work there. We had a great conversation about their product, and I could not walk away without one. This harness is so easy to use, and totally takes the pulling dog out of control. When I use this there is no way the pugman can win, the odds are in my favor. This product is hands down GREAT!!

Pros: Easy to use, gentle for you and your dog.

Cons: you have to buy one for each dog.
