The Mighty Mite Super Set Up Dog Tent

A great alternative to a soft crate or metal crate!
posted 5 years ago
We travel a lot to agility and obedience trials and I needed something for Rebel that I could set up without a team of people to help me and that didn't take up a whole lot of run in my car (we've been leaving the truck home lately because gas prices are crazy). This was the perfect solution!
First, the manufacturer has these specially designed poles that make the poles attach directly to the tent fabric so you don't have to thread the poles or pop them into a socket like you do with most soft crates. I can just use my finger tips to press the poles into place and I'm done.
Next, the tent folds up into a chair bag that no longer than your forearm. You could litterally fit a dozen of these tents in the space it would take to put one folded suitcase crate or soft crate. Plus, it hardly weighs anything. I was walking around a show ground with my tent over my arm and forgot that I was carrying it and started looking for it frantically until my friend bursted out laughing hysterically!
Last, there are a lot of nice features and extras the manufacturer thought of adding. While Rebel did have some trouble with the door, once she got her butt inside, she was a very happy BC. There's plenty of room for a dog to stretch out, tons of ventilation and even side pockets to stach your leash, show premium or schedule, cookies - whatever.
Pros: Very lightweight, nice dog crate shape design, easy to set up, affordable, very cute
Cons: I wish the door was shapped differently. My BC had some trouble getting into and out of the tent
