I tried the Furminator a couple of years ago and my pups hated it. Returned in the next day. Talking about this to some friends they recommended this Bamboo rake. I've been happy with other products from this line. My friends demo'd it with their dogs and thought I'd give it a shot. My pup is blowing out those winter furs and I took her out back last night and she LOVED it. In fact, the other pups didnt' seem to mind it at all. To me it doesn't seem as sharp as the other product so no scratching them. All but one of mine were 'reduced in fur', the little man's coat is so fine that he wasn't shedding...even better. This one will be out again today and every day for grooming until summer coats have arrived! If you didn't like the Furminator I would recommend trying this one!

works as advertised, great product. only problem I had was the wand is too thin and my wrist got sore after a while. if it were thicker and maybe had mnore padding would be better, but as for doing what it needs to do...very good.

Fatty hated the other brand of this deshedder when it came out. I tried this one and found it lightweight and easy to handle. This one she almost liked as it didn’t pull her hair. It did a great job of getting out her undercoat and so this will be part of our grooming routine when she blows out her coat.
