We needed a pair of clippers to keep for use on neglected dogs when they first came in to the impound facility. I like these because the bright orange handle makes them easy to spot in a drawer full of supplies. They are easy to use, and safer than the guillotine stle.

We have one of these at the pound & use it especially on incoming dogs. The people who have been using them say that it works better than the type of nail clipper they used to use, which makes it safer too. It was a good choice.
