I purchased this 3-in-1 and was able to clip her nails once with it. To no fault of the clippers, I haven't used it since. To give credit where due, I want to say how convenient it was with the file and styptic right inside the clipper handle. Great design!

One of my dogs has large, thick nails so I had a hard time finding new clippers that could accomodate her. I chose the Bamboo clippers because they appeared large, but also because they include a built in nail file and styptic powder container. It really comes in handy, if you can manage not spilling the powder everywhere when trying to pour some in the cap to use. Over all, though, I don't really like the clippers themselves as much as I thought I would. They feel very large and thick in my hands and are a little bit difficult to use because of it. It doesn't bother me badly, but when I think about it I will buy another type of clipper.

I got this after years of fighting the guillotine style trimmers that the blade kept getting stuck and causing the handle to bend. This works so much better, it's very shaep, easy to hold and get the right angle, doesn't block the view of the nail, so much better. Plus, it has the added emory file and styptic powder (if you need it!).

The grip and size are helpful for clipping. I like that the nick stopper is right inside with the file so it's at hand when needed.
