Miracle Coat Spray-On Waterless Shampoo is ideal for dogs who hate bathtime.

December 17, 2010 2:08 am | By Zootoo Editor Flinn D.

As with many of the products in the Miracle Coat line, the Spray-On Waterless Shampoo for Dogs is designed to keep your pooches clean when they struggle to avoid regular baths -- or if your pet has a physical limitation which necessitates a bath-free lifestyle.

Fortunately for owners, the smell of the Miracle Coat shampoo is mild yet pleasing -- enough to keep your dog smelling fresh, but not enough to make him seem like a walking pine tree. And after only a few uses, our tester dog's fur was noticeably softer.

Best of all, despite some initial skittishness at the spray (a problem which could be compounded for owners who use spray bottles for training), our tester dog quickly adjusted to the grooming process with this shampoo. As opposed to feeling dunked in a bathtub, your dog can feel as though he's getting a deep massage.

Bottom line: for dogs who can't -- or won't -- tolerate bathtime, the Miracle Coat Waterless Shampoo is a wonderful way to stay clean.

Pros: Mild smell; easy-to-use.

Cons: None.

Great for cold weather

posted 6 years ago

I use this for my dog when the winter weather is here and it is too cold (or rainy/snowy/windy/etc.) for a bath outside. It is great for a "touch-up" and smells quite nice. You'll easily go through a full bottle quickly with a large dog.

Be sure your dog has a warm place to finish drying. Even though you don't use water, the product itself is a liquid!

The spray bottle is nice for area cleaning. Overall, this is a good product.

Pros: Does a good job

Cons: Too expensive for "regular" use

I have 3 cats and they love this food. They eat less and walk away with a full belly. Eating less means pooping less and less litter. All around a great choice for my cats.
