Great for short hair

This works well for the short hair dog, like my boxer/pitt-bull. Don't like the way it works on cats. It leaves hair on my cat and doesn't pick-up well. All in all, I will stick to using it only for my dog.
Pros: Great for the short hair dog
Cons: sometimes hair gets stuck in rubber comb
