I have the medium sized one, and used it on both my dogs. I have a daschund/black lab mix and a husky/collie mix. Both shed ALOT, especially the husky/collie mix. The little one loved it. My bigger one didn't seem to mind too much, but,after awhile, she got restless, and plopped on her side which made some of the positioning difficult. This seems easier and more contained than just brushing.Some fur does seem to fly about while doing this,but not as much as conventional brushing. Also this tool is much easier to clean and maintain than a conventional brush. As for the shedding after, definately an improvement! I would reccomend this for anyone who has long haired dogs prone to shedding.

my friend carrie had told me about the furminator after i read a great review on her site. she had 2 of them and offered one for me to try. I usually keep Peanut cut down, but he grows out for the winter to stay warm. He leaves hair everywhere! I used the furminator on his coat and I removed all the dead and loose hair. It worked great and Peanut enjoyed the brushing. I was afraid it would pull, but it slides thru with ease. A little pricey, but worth every penny for allergy sufferers.It comes in 2 sizes and is easy to clean

I ordered a FURminator at Christmas to try. I have 4 dogs and 5 cats in the house so I was constantly vacuuming. On the first use of the Furminator, which I used on all of the dogs and on two of the cats, I noticed a decrease in the amount of hair that I picked up in my vacuum. Also, it was very easy to use and my long haired cats did not seem to mind it all. You just need to make sure you are outside when you use it, because even on a short haired dog, you are going to remove a lot of fur!!!!

The furminator is a great tool. For anyone who has a dog or cat with long hair and thick under coat this is a must. It removes the thick under coat like nothing I have ever used before. A little high in price about 50$ but worth ever penny.
