The Magic Coat Love Glove uses rubber nubs to massage and groom pets.
October 2, 2010 7:03 pm | By Zootoo Editor Flinn D.
The Magic Coat Pet Love Glove, by Four Paws, is a solid entry into the growing field of rubber and fabric gloves for the purpose of helping your dog or cat shed unwanted hair. With its soft, flexible rubber tips and gentle fabric exterior, the Magic Glove easily removes unwanted dirt, grime and shed hairs from your pet’s coat while making your pet feel as though he's getting a massage.
The one small drawback to the love glove -- for owners of power shedders -- is that the Love Glove is not as ambitious in its design as its close cousin the Bamboo Care 3-in-1 Glove, which uses adhesive material to allow pet owners to pick up the hairs that the rubber portion pulls out. Once I had used the rubber side to comb out the unwanted hairs during our tester sessions, I had to use a vacuum cleaner to remove a few stray wisps off the floor.
That said, the Love Glove features rubber nubs that are comforting to pets who might be skittish about being groomed, or who are sensitive to harsher wire brushes. The Love Glove is also easy to fit and keep on your hands -- a bonus when grooming through tough tangles or mats.
Bottom line: The Four Paws Magic Coat Pet Love Glove does a wonderful job at keeping your pet's coat groomed with a comforting, massaging rubber feel.
Pros: Rubber nubs are comforting to pets, effective in removing loose hairs.
Cons: Could require additional clean-up.

Great for brushing while petting an animal
posted 5 years ago
This is a great idea for cats or dogs that don't like to be brushed or combed. They think you're petting them, while you're actually able to remove excess hair. It's not as effective as a traditional slicker brush, but most animals tolerate it much better.
Pros: Works while petting, inexpensive
Cons: Can be difficult to clean
