Nutro’s Natural Choice Puppy Beef and Vegetable Dinner is a wet dog food that is part of the brand’s offering of Natural Choice Slices in Gravy. The meal combines delicious natural ingredients into a recipe that is balanced with components that are great for puppies, such as beef-based broth and gravy.
The folks at Nutro have been making high-quality dog food for years, and this product extends that care to making food specifically for puppies. Along with all of the special gravy and natural vegetables, the formula adheres to specifications set out by the AAFCO for stimulating growth in young canines.
Puppies are such hungry and energetic creatures in their natural state that it can be hard to tell whether or not they like a food. That fact aside, our tester puppy seemed to love Natural Choice Beef and Vegetable Dinner. When I filled his bowl with it he took one sniff before commencing to lick the entire feeder clean. Then he looked up at me like he wanted more — a lot more.
Nutro only offers the Natural Choice Puppy Beef and Vegetable Dinner in one-serving containers so you won’t have to worry about refrigerating the food after opening. But my only caveat with Natural Choice Puppy Beef and Vegetable Dinner is that the ingredient list doesn’t seem to be completely all-natural. But with a recipe that includes such goodies as peas and carrots — and is so delectable to puppies — it’s hard to keep young dogs away from this dinner.
Pros: Natural ingredients; puppies love the taste.
Cons: Ingredients do not seem to be completely all-natural.

Good for Guinness

This was the food that Guinness was eating in the shelter when we got him. Occasionally we had to run out and get another brand for him temporarily and he did not like the switch. Then a few hours later we did not like it either.
We liked the fact that the food is very healthy for him. Other than the occasional food switch he has had no real upset stomach issues. Our previous dog was using a food of lesser quality and upset stomach was not uncommon for her. One other benefit for me was less mess to pick up in the yard. Since there is less junk filler like low quality brands may use, there is less material that does not get digested.
We are now looking to make the switch to the adult formula over the next couple of weeks to phase out the old and slowly bring in the new food.
Pros: Healthy

This is the food for Ollie

Ollie was rescued from a puppy mill, was very thin and had some skin and fur issues. Upon taking him to the vet, it was recommended to try Nutro Natural Choice Puppy food.
That was amost a year ago and Ollie is very healthy. His skin is no longer dry and flaking and his coat is beautiful and shiney! He now also weighs 10 pounds which is great!
Pros: extremely healthy
Cons: A little pricey but worth it
