Slide one of these large half barrels right against the wall in the hallway, mudroom, or garage, and fill it with 40 lbs. of dry dog food or 50 lbs. of birdseed; or choose our small barrel, which holds 15-20 lbs. You can even label the contents with the included blank wooden sign. The barrels are hand made in Maine of native-grown wood. The staves are northern white cedar, the bands are oak, and the bottom, back, and lids are white pine. Not intended for outdoor use.

Beautiful container

I am a big fan of natrual wood products. I love the look and the smell. My friend uses these smaller sized barrels to store her cat and dog food in and the barrel is very attractive and useful.

A very attractive way to store your animal foods(dry kibble, seed, etc)in quantity..

Pros: great storage bin

Cons: cleaning is a bit hard if needed
