I have to be honest and say I THINK this is effective but I rarely notice any sign of fleas on my dogs. However, I do use it on the crate bedding and their car blankets, etc. because it seems real safe and the smell is nice so I decided it couldn't hurt. So I'm thinking if we did pick up a flea here or there it took care of it. But I have to admit I use it mainly as a preventative and appreciate it's fresh smell.
