This ointment was recommended by my holistic vet. Traumeel comes in various forms but I mostly use the liquid for oral administration and the ointment for skin application. The ointment is fabulous for any skin related irriations, cuts or swelling. It works wonders for the area from which a tick has been removed. The redness and swelling go down very quickly. It will not harm dogs that lick it. I even use it on myself for sore muscles or inflammatory conditions such as tendonitis or bursitis. Great stuff.

Traumeel itself is amazing, comes in many forms. I use the ointment on any skin irritation. Last summer one of my dogs had a hot spot, the first ever, and I used this treatment. It cleared the hot spot up very quickly. I've used it on other abrasions as well. It's anti-inflammatory properties are very effective. Also knowing that it is a homeopathic remedy and not just some chemicals gives me peace of mind.
