Rimadyl

We use this medication on our dalmation who is 15 years old and experiences chronic pain as a result from a bad spine. She has had surgery on the cervical part of the spine and fusion in the lumbo-sacral portion making it difficult for her to walk, and constantly gives her pain. This is the best medication for her, for tramadol makes her unsteady on her feet. It definietly has improved her quality of life, giving the pain caused by her back problems. It can cause liver damage over time, but getting checkups with your vet can avoid extensive damage.

I have used several of the NSAIDS on the market, I have 2 Malinois with health issues. Unfortunately, this one made both of my dogs vomit. I know not all dogs do and I know one of mine is a PICKY eater. They wouldn't take it without hiding it in something even though it is supposed to be palatable. Good luck to others!
