Easy to use, fairly portable

posted 4 years ago

We've had our x-pen for over 10 years and it is still in very usable condition. We mostly purchased it to use at agility trials as it is easier to transport than a few extra crates. Dogs don't get as much rest as if they were crated, but prefer the company. We've found other uses for it too when we've had to confine our dogs. Our senior had vestibular disease and I confined her in this while she was recouperating to keep her from hurting herself. Good to have on hand.

Pros: easy to use, fairly portable, has held up well

Cons: over time, things are a little bent

Good but a bit light

posted 4 years ago

We use it all the time in the house, when our reactive Aussie is trying too hard to herd her human counterparts and other living creatures outside the house. We actually made connections to the walls and it helps to keep her with us. We do not use the pen to keep our dog away from us or when she is not supervised. We are always inside the pen together with her. So it limits her travel in the house.

Pros: works well to isolate the dog in the house

Cons: connectors between the metal frames get broken eventually
