I bought this when 2 of my older dogs started gaining extra weight and kept it on. The food itself was nice and nutritious and had a good array for what could be expected from dry dog food.

I started seeing weight loss about 2 weeks in and then from there the weight loss started fairly quick. I had to mix regular beneful with the healthy weight because while yes my dogs were eating it (Very glad that the dogs enjoyed this brand), they started loosing too much weight.

I was again thrilled that my dogs enjoyed the brand, and also glad they got the the desired weight, but in the end I had to again mix the regular with the healthy weight.

Pros: Did what it was intended to do, was reasonably priced, was not to bad on the ingredients

Cons: Weight loss was a little fast with normal excercise, was hard to mix with water and wetfood

Having 4 dogs, it is impossible to buy everyone a different food for obvious reasons. The older dogs tend to be less active and need to balance their nutrition to keep a healthy weight. This helps them maintain a healthy weight and stay satisfied. All 4 of them love Purina and have never shown any negative signs! The cat even sneaks a few pieces when he can get his face in the bowls!

Both my dogs love this food and its very good for them. While niether are that chubby I havn;t noticed any wieght loss in either. Weight has stayed the same fo both my dogs.

My dogs will eat this, but they aren't thrilled with it. They love the change, but are unsure of the taste. We found another brand that the puppies enjoy. We won't buy this again, too much problems.

This is a pretty good dog food for the money. The dogs like the taste, and it doesn't make them hork. The weight loss isn't happening like I hoped, but it is coming slowly.
