I always wanted to recommend the Nutro brand to people - back in the day it was one of the few better foods around. It sounds good and maybe it does the trick for weight management....but large breed, why do they need their own weight management food??!!

Nutro uses too many grains, like corn, and they use alot of by-products and fillers. I just can't get behind that for my dogs so I would never buy it.

Another Nutro diet I really like but another I am getting harder to find. Nutro diets are very rich in fatty acids and the dogs look great on them - shiny coats, healthy skin, good weights. This diet is lower in calories to help maintain a proper weight and has good joint supplements to help protect joints. It is a really good choice for weight management in dogs prone to getting overweight.

Our chocolate lab was very overweight. With exercise and this food she is now down to a healthy weight and looks wonderful! Her coat is healthier and her teeth are cleaner. She loves this food and so do we!

As with all nutro foods, this is high quality with few by-products and additives. Just about as close as you can get to preparing your own blend of food for your dog.

This is exactly what we need for our large, slightly-overweight lab mix. I'm sure he would love this, and I hope it's as natural as they advertise...
