All Natural Food - Not All Your Money
posted 4 years ago
My dog has a fragile immune system (had kennel cough so bad when I adopted her at 9mo old from the shelter they gave her a 30% at best of living!! and was only bones and sagging skin with missing hair) so food is very important. The healthier she is, the less suseptable she is to disease.
After the great food scare (she was eating other very good food that was not recalled, but not this good!) I did alot of research and decided to go natural. This food impressed me instantly. It was one of the only brands who did not have ANY of thier dog food - wet or dry - recalled. As soon as you open the bag you see real dried fruit pieces!! That I had never seen before in dog food. She loved it instantly and picked it out when I mixed it during the transition week (the week where you mix old food and new food when changing your dog's diet so they won't get a tummy ache), refusing to finish her old food. Now she eats everyday happily, her coat is shinny and healthy, and the cough she has had since I took her home is all but gone!! In fact we get compliments on her coat everywhere we go. No one believes she is a shelter rescue. I don't think I could ever feed her anything else.
If you want to go all natural without costing a fortune, you won't find better.
Even though she picks out the dried papaya (yes there is a trail on my floor after she eats lol) I know she is getting the best nutrition she can get in an easily digestable formula. And all the benifits of the fruit are still there - they weren't lost by being grinded up and included in the kibble or cooked away. And the pieces are great size for any dog. Not too big for a chihuahua and not too small for a lab.
Plus Castor and Pollux is a company that really loves the animals is makes its products for. Just visit the website and see for yourself. They are what a pet food company should be.
Pros: High Protean, No Wheat or Corn, Real Dried Fruit!!
Cons: None!!
