This is the latest variety of Merrick that we have tried and it has been a huge hit. We have liked all the varieties for their great quality and ingredients, and our dogs like each variety, but I'm thinking that this is the Siberian Huskies' favorite. If your dog doesn't like straight dry food, you can mix with a little Merrick canned, or, just add a little hot water and it makes gravy (with the consitency look of gravy...not that thin brown water that comes from other foods). We have tried some other foods made of fish for the Huskies, and most of those smelled really stinky and fishy, but this one isn't too bad. If you get close, sure, you can smell the fish a little, but it isn't a strong, overpowering fish smell (by comparison, I thought the Wellness fish and sweet potato had a pretty strong smell).

Pros: Great ingredients, dogs love the taste

Cons: A little bit of a fishy smell...but not as strong as any other type of dog food w/fish in it that we've tried

This has also been a great food for dogs who cannot eat the typical dry dog foods. We actually used this on a boxer who had severe allergies to almost all foods and treats.

Pros: hypoallergenic

Cons: pricey

Our dogs love the taste of this Merrick variety - both canned and dry. My nose, however, does not love the canned variety!

Pros: Great product, very healthy

Cons: The canned variety is STINKY!
