I got this food one time by mistake (I usually get the large breed version). From what I could tell aside from the lack of joint supplements it was the same food. My dogs ate it readily; it maintained their weights nicely; they looked good on it, etc. I prefer the large breed version for my Labs because of the joint supplementation but for dogs not needing that this would be a great diet!

The kibble size was good for a small dog and the higher calories per cup made it easier to get calories into the smaller dog.

I like this dog food vs. others because it is specifically geared toward my small breed dog, giving her the extra nourishment and slow burning carbs that she needs!
