Turned our dog's health around!

posted 5 years ago

A friend of ours turned us on to Eagle Pack several years ago and we have never fed our animals anything else since. Around that time, I adopted a Jack Russel Terrier (Eddie) from my parents because they moved to a place that would only allow 2 dogs and they had 3. My parents fed thier dogs ordinary dog food found at the grocery store (pedigree, Iams when on sale, Kibble N Bits, etc...). When I got Eddie, he was over weight, lethargic, and had constant skin problem including hot spots. In addition Eddie had Addison's disease and required daily dose of prednisone and a monthy steriod shot.
After I started feeding Eddie Eagle Pack Adult Formula I started noticing his energy levels increasing and his overall mood seamed happier. After a few weeks He was back to his recommended weight and his skin started improving. After 5-6 weeks his skin problem were completely gone! I firmly believe this was a direct result from changing his diet to Eagle Pack that does not use wheat products which if you research you will find dogs were never designed to digest wheat and it cause all sorts of health issues in them especially skin problems... SO WHY do most dog foods and treats (even popular premium brands) use wheat as thier main ingredient? Eagle Pack foods have NO WHEAT in them. After a few months of his Eagle Pack diet, Eddie started requiring less medication to keep his Addisons disease in check. His requirement for a daily dose of prednisone decreased to the point where he only needed it once every three days. I attribute all of Eddies health improvements directly to using Eagle Pack!
Another thing I like about Eagle Pack is that they manufacture all of thier dog foods in thier own facilities in the USA. You will be suprised to find that a lot of other brands (even very popular premium brands) are sub-contracted to other manufactures which are sometimes located outside of the USA and in some cases in China!
I highly recommend Eagle Pack products. Of course they are a little more money than your typical everyday dog foods but it's not expensive like some other premium brands that don't even make thier own products!

Pros: Healed my dogs health issues; Our dog loves it; Made by Eagle Pack in the USA and is not sub-contracted

Cons: None
