Mocha had bad skin issues when we had her on low end commercial dog food like science diet. The vet told us science diet would help her weight problem & it just got worse. When my mom finally decided to hear me out, and switch her on a better quality dog food everything changed for the better! She's maintaining her weight, which is hard for her because she's SO lazy. It even solved her skin problem :). Thing I like most about wellness? THEY SEND YOU COUPONS! Lol. Most dog food companies don't. Well unless they're commercial.

This is good stuff, but it's just not enough for an active BIG dog like Klondike. He's not in danger of getting overweight so long as he "patrols" his 32 acre estate here in the crik swamp.

It was an experiment which didn't reveal the expected results. Enough said.

BUT, the reason was NOT any lack of quality of any Wellness products.

One of our dogs, Annie, was having problems (turned out to be a pancreatic deficiency) and we switched to a more natural food. Both of our dogs do well on this and there has not been any problems with stomach upset. Not sure about the taste myself, but they seem to love it!

Pros: Natural product you can feel good about!

Cons: The price!

You can always trust Wellness. I give me Dogs Wellness Weight Control and they do great on it. In the Winter they are not so active and this food helps them tmaintain their weight and stay healthy.

my dog has a very sensitive stomach and she has to be put on more natural food like this. she's not crazy about it as she was her other foods but those made her sick. this one doesn't.
