Puppy loves it!!
posted 4 years ago
My puppy came to me malnurished because he wouldn't eat. The breeder was feeding him sugar water when he was very small and then canned cat food until he graduated to eating puppy food she mixed them together. She said she tried everything and he wouldn't eat anything. When I first got him she sent some very large food home with him and no wonder he wouldn't eat he could barely get it in his mouth. And he would only eat it if there was canned cat food on it. I stopped that as soon as possible and put him on Royal Canin Indoor puppy. He absolutely loves it and eats it all up. He is gaining weight and is now a very healthy puppy. Is coat is starting to get shiny and healthier and coming in a lot better. He never had ANY kind of stomache upset at all with changing the food or even to this day. It has everything he needs for such a small dog (he only weighs 1.7 lbs) and is so easy for him to eat. I would definatly recommend it to toy owners everywhere!!
Pros: small and easy to chew for tiny dogs, DHA for puppies brain
Cons: a little costly

Great Brand!

My 3 pound mini dauschaund loves this food and never has upset her stomach. I hate to bring this up but some foods can make body waste very smelly but I have never had that problem with my puppy. I highly recommend this brand and ALL dog food made by Royal Canin.
Pros: never upsets my puppy's stomach
Cons: this food is on the more expensive end

There Are Better Choices Out There
posted 4 years ago
As a whole, Royal Canin is a decent food and there are many foods that are worse, but with all the research that Royal Canin puts into their food, I would have thought they would've put a better formula together than this. Just as there are many worse foods, there are many better formulated foods too. Ones that are not so heavy in grains such as corn, ones that are even more palatible and ones that have a higher, healthier meat base.
Pros: bites formulated for the small dogs mouth, palatible
Cons: heavy in grains, mediocre food choice

This is a great brand and even though expensive, it is good for the dog. I haven't tried this particular product but if it is Royal Canin it must be super
Pros: The brand is very good
Cons: Expensive
