Orijen Adult Dog Food

When I stopped buying Canidae b/c they changed their ingredients without notifying consumers, I was pleasantly surprised to find Orijen. Yes it costs more, but I feed less and the health benefits outweigh the extra dollars I spend on food.

I have 2 year old Yorkie who is very picky with his food but somehow he likes Orijen. I switched his food to Orijen because it was made in Canada (I was freaked out by pet food contamination in the past years) and it contained high protein. I found an article talking about dog's diet and it said that a good dog food should contain at least 30% protein and 18% fat and Orijen met those numbers. I also like the idea of cooking the food in small batch with no preservative. It sounds healthy and there is no by-products in the food. When I opened the bag, it actually smelled good. I just wished that they make smaller kibble size for my Yorkie. It is about the same size as a dime. If you get a bag of Orijen puppy, the kibble size is much smaller.

Pros: High protein, contain no preservative.

Cons: Kibble size is not small enough for my Yorkie
